The Blackhawks showed resilience against their Central Division foe at the United Center on Wednesday night. After tying the game late in the first period, the Blackhawks gave up a quick goal eight seconds after to lose the lead. The Predators made the game 3-1 late in the second, looking to put the game out of reach. However, the Captain thought otherwise and brought the game within one. Some late-game magic sent this one to overtime before the Predators twisted the dagger in the hearts of Blackhawks’ players and fans, ending the game in overtime 4-3.
