Hawks defeat the Capitals 8-5

Talk about a barn-burner. This game featured 13 combined goals, a hat trick, and a couple of two-goal performances. The Blackhawks edged the Capitals by a score of 8-5 to get back in the win column. Check out all the highlights from this wild one right here!

First Period

Toews has all kinds of space on the odd-man rush and makes it 6-3 Blackhawks:

A Blackhawks scramble in their own zone leads to Carlson’s second goal of the game:

Delia gets screened by Koekkoek and Niskanen snipes one top shelf to pull the Caps within one:

Toews dances around Orlov and completes the hat trick:
