The Game in GIFs: Blackhawks at Sabres

Hawks defeat the Sabres 7-3

A dominant performance by Patrick Kane stood out on the scoresheet with two goals and two assists in his hometown of Buffalo, New York. Great performances also came from Drake Caggiula (one goal, two assists) and Brandon Saad (two goals) in route to a commanding 7-3 Hawks win! Check out the highlights here:

Drake Caggiula scores his first since being traded to the Blackhawks:

Second Period:

Patrick Kane registers his 900th career point in his hometown:

Another look at the Kane goal:

Duncan Keith follows up on his own shot for his second… feels a bit familiar:

A little respect shared between referee Wes McCauley and assistant coach Sheldon Brookbank:

The Sabres get one back after their captain, Jack Eichel, buries his 17th:

After Kane drew a penalty, Tage Thompson wasn’t too happy… oh well!

KNEEL BEFORE SAAD! Saad registers his 16th on a beauty just before the end of the period:

Third Period:

The Sabres get one back, and the population of Pominville increases by one:

A Sabres power play leads to Kyle Okposo (remember him?) scoring his ninth of the season:

Conor Murphy gets one back on a beautiful wrist shot:

As time winds down, Kane adds his second on the empty net:

After the empty net tally, Saad adds his second (and adds insult to injury) as the Hawks take the 7-3 lead:
