Quick Hitter Preview: Blackhawks vs. Canucks
Hawks vs. Canucks – 2/7/19
Coming off a perfect post-bye week road trip, the Blackhawks return to the United Center to host the Vancouver Canucks tonight. The Hawks have now won five straight games, while the Canucks come into this game having dropped their last two contests. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM central time.
- David Kampf exited Tuesday night’s game at Edmonton with a foot injury and the Blackhawks announced today that he will miss three to four weeks. Kampf’s injury will result in some shuffling of the bottom six forwards.
- Rookie center Elias Pettersson leads the Canucks with 47 points (24 goals and 23 assists) on the season. The 20-year old rookie has been a skating highlight reel so the Hawks will need to be vigilant whenever he’s on the ice.
- Vancouver currently holds the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with 54 points and the Hawks are one of four teams trailing them by just three points. It should be a spirited contest because of the standings implications.

Laugh It Off
On Tuesday at Edmonton, one Oilers fan threw his jersey on the ice after one of the Hawks five third-period goals. Tough times up north.
