Captain America: Patrick Kane

Kane will wear the C for Team USA in the 2019 IIHF World Championships

In case you were starting to miss watching one of the greatest American-born hockey players of all time this spring, here is some good news.

Patrick “Make it Nasty” Kane is going to the Worlds to lead Team USA. While it isn’t the same thing for Blackhawks fans who would rather be watching Kane lead the Hawks to another Cup run, it will be interesting to see if Kaner is joined by fellow American and Blackhawk Alex DeBrincat. The addition of DeBrincat would create not only a very competitive American squad with two of the top NHL scorers, but also one that Blackhawks fans can get behind.

I, for one, will now be watching a lot more of the Worlds than originally I planned.
