According to Adam Schefter, the Bears have traded with the Oakland Raiders for Kicker Eddy Pineiro. The Raiders will acquire a conditional seventh-round pick, pending Pineiro remaining on the Bears roster for a minimum of five games.

Pineiro spent last season on IR due to a groin injury. He has yet to attempt any regular season kick of all varieties. This is interesting news today, considering Ryan Pace cut down the eight kickers participating in minicamp over the weekend down to only two. Elliott Fry and Chris Blewitt were the only two to make it through the weekend.

Is the Bears week one starting kicker on the roster currently? Clearly, Pace isn’t sold on anyone.
