White Sox Select James Beard 110th Overall

Beard is the third prep selection in a row the White Sox have made so far in the first four rounds of this year’s draft.

With the 110th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, the Chicago White Sox selected speedy right-handed outfielder James Beard. He has been labeled as “the fastest player in the draft” by multiple accounts and is listed as the #127 ranked prospect on MLB.com. He is 18 years old out of Brookhaven, Mississippi.
