Wolves Curtis McKenzie Suspended for Game Three
The Wolves will be without top forward Curtis McKenzie for game three.
It was announced that Chicago Wolves forward Curtis McKenzie will be suspended by the AHL for one game for his role in some extracurricular activity at the end game two. He will serve that suspension tonight for game three. Take a look below to see how game two ended.
The chippy play could well continue throughout the rest of this series. In the first round against the Grand Rapids Griffins, the heated play persisted until the final horn sounded. Don’t be surprised if the Wolves get Alex Gallant prepped and ready to make a statement. He’s a man with a very particular set of skills, skills he has acquired over a very long career, skills that make him a nightmare for opponents like the Checkers.
McKenzie’s absence will be noticeable. So far this postseason, he’s netted eight goals and six assists for the Wolves over 19 games. The Wolves will need to dig deep to fill that void. My hero prediction? T.J. Tynan, who will shed the nickname T.J. Appleseed for the night and become T.J. Lamplighter.
The game starts at 7 PM central time. You can watch the game locally through the UToo channel, or stream it through the AHLTV package, and even listen to the game through the Wolves Facebook. If you have the chance to get out to the Allstate Arena, don’t miss out on seeing this Finals run live while you can Head to Ticketmaster here, and when you checkout use promo code “ONTAP” for some serious savings. I’ll be in section 116, hit me up and we’ll grab a brew!
