On Sunday, Javier Baez hit his 100th career home run to lift the Cubs late against the Mets.

Baez’s home run was more significant than just it being his 100th career moonshot. The home run also made the Cubs the only team with three active players to hit 100 home runs before turning 27 — Baez joins Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant in that club.

It just goes to show how talented this Cubs team is. Not only are they talented, but they are young and should be competing for at least a few more years.

The Cubs open their series on Monday with the Atlanta Braves. The “Big 3” are going to have to continue to hit moonshots in order to control the NL Central.
