Thankfully there is some good news coming out of the White Sox clubhouse as the injury to Tim Anderson is being considered a high ankle sprain. The injury appeared to be way more serious at the time, as Anderson lost his footing and rolled his ankle while making a play on a ground ball in the fifth inning.
As mentioned, Anderson will be re-evaluated at some point tomorrow. The MRI will tell more in terms of if there is structural damage, so we aren’t out of the woods yet, but the X-ray returning negative can make White Sox fans breathe a bit easier for the time being.
Without any additional news, don’t expect Tim back in the lineup until a few weeks after the All-Star break. A move will seemingly be made before tomorrow’s series finale as former White Sox pitcher Chris Sale faces off against Reynaldo Lopez.
Get well soon, TA7!
