After the ESPN unveiling of the MLB All-Star rosters, the Cubs now have three position players representing the team.
One notable snub is Anthony Rizzo at first base. The issue for Rizzo is that three NL first basemen are having career years. Starter Freddie Freeman was elected by the fans and it’s impossible to deny how good Peter Alonso and Josh Bell have been.
No Cubs pitchers are representing the club either. This could bode well for the team, allowing some key players to get rest before the second half begins.
Congratulations to Kris Bryant on making the All-Star team!
