According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago, the Cubs will have Kyle Hendricks back in the fold for the upcoming series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The news comes at a great time for the Cubs after Cole Hamels was placed on the 10-Day IL just a few days ago. Now with the return of Hendricks, Tyler Chatwood will slot back into the bullpen with Alzolay effectively taking Hamels’ spot in the rotation.

It is important to note that there has not been a roster move to make room for Hendricks yet. However, it’s a safe bet that Roman Wick is the name who will be sent down to Triple-A Iowa to make space for Hendricks ahead of his start on Tuesday.
