Well, alrighty then. Wouldn’t that be a turn of events? Imagine 6-time All-Star Anthony Davis coming home to play for the Chicago Bulls!

Now, I know this is a pipe dream but damn, that’d be sweet. Anthony Davis has a player option for the 2020-2021 NBA season and who’s to say he doesn’t decline it to earn himself more money or get a change of scenery?

Who’s to say the Los Angeles Lakers season doesn’t go as planned next year? Maybe LeBron and A.D don’t mesh how many anticipate and AD declines the option to join a young and upcoming team. What better team than his hometown Chicago Bulls

A young core of Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, and Anthony Davis would send shockwaves through the Eastern Conference. Not to mention young-gun Coby White playing the Point Guard position.

Is it possible? Of course, it is! Is it likely? Well, given the track record of never really landing a star free agent, maybe not. Does it make sense? Yes. A.D could come home and give the Bulls a proven star who can help take the pressure off the young guys.

Only time will tell what happens but it was cool to see someone in National Media giving the Bulls a shot.

Come home, Anthony. Listen to Tommy Edwards announce “FROM CHICAGO!!!” And listen to the greatest fans in the NBA cheer.
