Clinton-Dix Removed From PUP List

Clinton-Dix will return to action after dealing with a knee sprain.

Thank the almighty Football Gods! The news Bears fans have been waiting to hear regarding the newest addition in the secondary has finally come. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been activated off the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. Clinton-Dix had been dealing with a knee sprain dating back at least to last Monday (July 22nd), and it’s unclear how bad the sprain actually was.

Clinton-Dix will join his fellow former member of the Tide that is ever-so Crimson, Eddie Jackson, in the Bears secondary. The pair makes quite the dynamic duo, which will dare and beg opposing offenses to throw against them.

Eddie Jackson and Kyle Fuller had a combined 13 of the Bears 27 interceptions last season. Clinton-Dix is no stranger to picking off the pigskin either. His best season was in 2016 when he had five interceptions for the Packers. Where Ha Ha can really shine, though, is his ability to make tackles. His career-high in solo tackles was 83 during the 2015 season and his career-worst was 61 that came during his Pro-Bowl 2016 season. He was probably busy making those five interceptions to worry about making more tackles.

Overall, Clinton-Dix is a much-desired piece to the Bears everchanging amoeba-like defense. With skill and defensive intelligence coming from all angles in this group, Clinton-Dix is one angle newly-hired defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano is eager to use to his fullest potential.
