Marquez Beason Leaves Practice with Injury

The four-star cornerback was carted off the field at practice yesterday.

Illini four-star cornerback Marquez Beason injured his knee in practice yesterday and was carted off the field. The team has not announced the severity of the injury yet.

Per Rivals’ writer Kedric Prince, head coach Lovie Smith was concerned because Beason did not return to practice. Hopefully, this was nothing serious, but this is yet another blow to the Illini defense after the Bobby Roundtree injury.
