Former White Sox Octavio Dotel Linked to Drug Trafficking and Money Laundering Case

The former White Sox reliever was arrested for his involvement in a drug trafficking and money laundering case.

Per an attorney in the Dominican Republic, Jean Rodriguez, former ballplayers Octavio Dotel and Luis Castillo have been linked to a drug trafficking and money laundering scheme. Dotel pitched in 134 games for the White Sox from 2008-09.

This comes after another former White Sox pitcher, Esteban Loaiza, was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to federal drug charges. More information on the case will likely come about in the next few weeks.
