Yoan Moncada is Back

Moncada has been sidelined since July 30th with a hamstring strain.

Ahead of tonight’s series opener against the Texas Rangers, the White Sox reinstated Yoan Moncada from the injured list.

This move comes as no surprise; it was evident this would be the corresponding move to Ryan Cordell being optioned to Triple-A Charlotte after yesterday’s series finale at Minnesota.

Moncada has been sidelined since July 30th when he exited the game in the first inning after tweaking his hamstring while fielding a groundball. He seems to be back to his normal self, as just completed a five-game rehab stint with the Knights where he slashed .409/.409/.727 with two home runs and a double.

Moncada will be returning to action immediately tonight, as he is slated to play third base and bat cleanup against the Rangers.
