The Cubs first baseman departed today’s game in the fifth inning due to mid-back tightness.

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo made an early departure from today’s game against the Nationals due to mid-back tightness.

Rizzo exited when his spot in the order came up during the bottom of the fifth inning. Luckily, pinch-hitter Jonathan Lucroy hit an RBI double in his place. This article will be updated with more information on Rizzo’s status as it becomes available.
