Illini Football Lands 4-Star Wide Receiver and a Transfer Safety
After the injuries to Bobby Roundtree and Marquez Beason, it’s nice to have some good news as an Illini football fan.
Per Jeremy Werner of Illini Inquirer, the Fighting Illini have landed a four-star wide receiver James Frenchie from Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis.
Frenchie projects as a slot receiver with tremendous upside. After losing the team’s best player, Bobby Roundtree, and top recruit, Marquez Beason, it’s nice to have some good news as an Illini football fan with this pickup and the announcement of Miami safety Derrick Smith choosing Illinois as his transfer destination.
