Breaking news from the likes of Adam Schefter this morning, the Bears are signing guard Cody Whitehair to an absolutely massive five-year extension worth $52.5 million with a whopping $27.5 million guaranteed.

This deal gives Whitehair the second-largest guaranteed payday for a guard extension in NFL history.

Cody has most definitely earned this honor. The man is a force to be reckoned with at 6 foot 3 inches and over 300lbs. Keeping up with the consistency like playing a full 16 games in all three of his professional seasons and protecting our chief Mitchell Trubisky is a key attribute that makes me like Whitehair a lot and think this is a fantastic signing.
