That was seriously a rough week for the NFL. The injury bug seemed to bite across the board this week, and it got to some big-time players. Hopefully, you were still able to pull off winning some money. We are starting to see how this season is shaping up. With all of this going on, it’s time to take a look at some Week 3 players ready to make an impact.

Quarterback

Lock: Dak Prescott (FD:$8.4K/DK:$6.5K). Well, is there really much to say about this one? The Cowboys are playing the Dolphins, who are simply the worst team in the NFL. They are still going full firesale mode, as they just traded away a good young talent this week that will make the defense even weaker. So, look for the Cowboys to be heavily owned this week.

Value: Jacoby Brissett (FD:$6.8K/DK:$5.2K). The matchup is a solid one this week. The Colts are going up against the Falcons, who seem to always be involved in high-scoring affairs. Expect the Colts quarterback to have a bit of a breakout-type performance.

Running Back

Lock: Christian McCaffrey (FD:$8.9K/DK:$8.7K). Last week’s game may scare some people away from McCaffrey this week. But the matchup against a Cardinals defense that is struggling is too good to pass up. In addition, if Cam Newton does not play, the new quarterback will have to rely on his star running back much more.

Value: David Johnson (FD:$7.0K/DK:$6.8K). Yup, staying in the same game with this one. Surprisingly, the Panthers have not been good against the run game. The Cardinals will be looking to get back on track with their run game. Johnson is a receiving threat as well, which is good if they are down in the game.

Wide Receiver

Lock: Antonio Brown (FD:$7.7K/DK:$7.1K). Another week to get acclimated to the Patriots system makes Brown even scarier, as his first game was already a good one. Brown will go out and make the Jets defense look even worse than he made the Dolphins look last week. This team is seriously a force to be reckoned with.

Value: Mack Hollins (FD:$4.5K/DK:$3.2K). The Eagles will likely be without their top two wide receivers for this game, and that’s where Hollins steps in. The price could not get any better here. This is all about value. Carson Wentz already looked Hollins’s way a fair amount last week. Expect that to be a trend again this week.

Tight End

Lock: Zach Ertz (FD:$6.9K/DK:$5.7K). With the Eagles missing two of their main weapons, Wentz will look to find his old reliable tight end, Ertz. The Lions defense is near the bottom of the league against the pass, so we should see a lot of offense through the air this game.

Value: Vance McDonald (FD:$5.9K/DK:$4.3K). This truly goes out to the situation for the Steelers. They lost Ben Roethlisberger for the rest of the season, so with Mason Rudolph stepping in, he will continue to look at the tight end again this week. McDonald was targeted seven times last week; don’t expect anything different this week.

CrackUm Player Of The Week

Marlon Mack (FD:$7.0K/DK:$5.8K). The volume is there for this young running back. Last week may not have been a great game points-wise for him, but this week he is facing a Falcons team that falls in the middle when it comes to stopping the run. The Colts are at home and will want to establish the run to control the game. Mack is great at this. He can also be a threat at times in the passing game. Look for him to get close to his week one point total this week. The value is here for his price to set up a good lineup.
