Carl Dahlstrom Claimed by Winnipeg

After being placed on waivers by the Blackhawks yesterday, Carl Dahlstrom has been claimed by the Winnipeg Jets.

After being placed on waivers by the Blackhawks yesterday, Carl Dahlstrom has been claimed by the Winnipeg Jets.

The left-handed defenseman had signed a two-year, $850K AAV extension with the Blackhawks back in March, but that was before the team traded for Olli Maatta and Calvin de Haan. In 49 games over parts of two seasons in Chicago, Dahlstrom posted nine assists and a 47.9% Corsi-for. With his departure and Adam Boqvist and Dennis Gilbert being assigned to the Rockford IceHogs, Slater Koekkoek appears to have the final spot on the blue line locked up to start the 2019-20 season.
