Great news, fight fans! Nate Diaz was cleared by the UFC and United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to the battle for the BMF Belt on Saturday, November 2nd.
In summary, Diaz is vegan and takes certain multivitamins to get extra nutrients that he doesn’t get from meat. The specific vitamin he took was unfortunately slightly tainted with a substance known as LGD-4033 or Ligandrol. LGD-4033 is a known Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM). SARMs are known PEDs and are on the list of banned substances for the UFC. Diaz’s sample contained a minuscule amount of it, hinting towards a tainted supplement rather than someone hiding usage.

I think I speak for everyone when I say THANK YOU for clearing this up. I know we would have been extremely disappointed if this mega-fight didn’t happen. Diaz vs. Masvidal’s battle for the BMF belt in UFC 244 is Saturday, November 2nd, and I can’t wait!
