After being limited practice all week long, David Montgomery will be a game-time decision on Sunday night, according to Bears head coach Matt Nagy.
It’s safe to say this injury comes at an unfortunate time, as the Bears cut running back Mike Davis just under a week ago. Right now, it looks as if Tarik Cohen and Ryan Nall will be the primary backs for the Bears this weekend.
One thing to keep an eye on is how much Cordarrelle Patterson runs the ball Sunday night if Montgomery does not play. There’s a chance Bears fans could see a heavy dose of the offensive weapon and kick returner.
In the meantime, Bears fans will collectively hold their breath about whether or not the rookie running back will play against the Rams. It will certainly make things interesting for the Bears if he does not.
