This afternoon, the Blackhawks announced a swap of minor league players with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Graham Knott, who was a 2015 second-round pick by the Blackhawks, has posted five goals and four assists in 13 games for the Indy Fuel of the ECHL so far this season. He played the previous two seasons with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL but was demoted to Indy this season after a couple of uninspiring campaigns. Knott is headed to the Penguins organization with Joseph Cramarossa coming back in return.
Cramarossa has posted four goals and two assists in 59 career NHL games. Those numbers came during the 2016-17 season when he split time with the Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks. Recently, he has been skating for the AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He posted four goals and 12 assists in 56 games last season and added two goals and one assist over nine contests this season before being traded. Cramarossa, who is signed to a $700,000 AAV, two-way contract, will report to the Rockford IceHogs.
