Buddy Hield Says the Kings Didn’t Respect the Bulls

“We didn’t respect them.”- Buddy Hield

Well, this is alarming. Or is it?

The Sacramento Kings lost 113-106 to the Chicago Bulls last night and Buddy Hield told the media why that happened. “We didn’t respect them.” Those are some heavy words from a player on a team that is struggling just like the Bulls are. The Kings left the Golden 1 Center at 8-11, sitting one game back of the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. Mind you, the Kings are missing both of their most promising young players in De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley.

The Bulls left Sacramento last night at 7-14 and two games back of the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoff picture. It doesn’t feel like it though, does it? Fans, media, and now even players around the league can see the dysfunction within the Bulls organization.

Look at the body language during the Bulls first timeout last night.

It seems the players weren’t responding to whatever Jimbo was spewing. The point of all this is that if bottom tier teams that are playing the Bulls aren’t “respecting” them or taking them seriously, what does that mean when they start to? Can Jim and the squad continue “fighting, learning, and keep growing together?” This is a major concern to fans everywhere that the Bulls are looked at as a laughing stock.

The Bulls have players on the Kings trolling them? Not taking them seriously? Something has to change and it needs to change now. The Bulls are on a downward spiral and have way too much young talent to go to waste here. Take the stupid timeclock down off the wall at the Advocate Center, focus on winning basketball games, and play up to the strengths of the best players currently on the roster. It isn’t rocket science, Jim. Next time you and your young squad play the Kings on January 24th at the United Center, don’t make them just respect you, make them fear you.
