According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Chicago Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. is eyeing a return right around the NBA All-Star break. OPJ only appeared in nine games this season for the Bulls before being diagnosed with a foot fracture.

Though Otto struggled at the beginning of the season, his presence has surely been missed. Otto brings perimeter defense and a three-point shot the Bulls have been missing. Otto has a history of battling injuries, but hopefully this time he can come back and stay healthy for the remainder of the year.
Kris Dunn has seen an increased workload since OPJ has been out, and he hasn’t disappointed. It would be nice if Kris could hit the three-ball like Porter, but that just isn’t the case. The Bulls are only 2.0 games back of the eighth-place Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. If they can continue to stay in striking range, OPJ’s return should bolster that.
