It has been forever since I released some picks. Actually, since last week because there weren’t many mid-week games due to Christmas. Here we go for the post-holiday Saturday slate.
Kentucky (-1) vs. Louisville
Although I think Louisville is better on a neutral court, it is not that easy to win at Kentucky in Rupp Arena. The early sharps are all have Kentucky on this one, and so am I. Look for Kentucky to cover the short number.
Pick: Kentucky -1
Memphis (-23.5) vs. New Orleans
Memphis has a tendency to crush small schools on their home court. Even with the recent full departure of James Wiseman, this Memphis team is still pretty strong. Precious Achiuwa will be good enough to handle for a team like New Orleans. Look for Memphis to win by about 30.
Pick: Memphis -23.5
Tennessee (-3.5) vs. Wisconsin
Now, I do not believe Wisconsin is that bad of a team, but I do think they’re much weaker this year than the past few. Tennessee diversifies their point-scoring as well as any team in college basketball. I think they’ll be too upbeat for the Badgers to manage.
Pick: Tennessee -3.5
There you have it, folks. Let’s go 3-0 and have a nice start to Saturday so you can use that money to bet on the College Football Playoff. Good luck!
