The Chicago Cubs and Javier Baez agreed on a $10 million payday for the 2020 season on Friday afternoon. The Chicago Cubs getting an MVP candidate for this price is considered theft in all 50 states.

There is not much that hasn’t already been said about the legend of Javy Baez. He is your favorite player’s favorite player. He is one of the most electric players in Major League Baseball, if not in all of sports.

Let’s hope this deal leads to the team on the North Side making Javier Baez a Chicago Cub for life.
