With Daniel Gafford exiting tonight’s game due to a thumb dislocation just over a minute into the game, the Bulls are once again facing injury issues that need to be addressed. Second-year forward Chandler Hutchison went down in the third quarter of tonight’s 115-106 win over the Washington Wizards with an apparent shoulder injury.
Hutchison’s NBA career has been riddled with injuries. He missed over 30 games in his rookie season with a broken toe in addition to sitting out a decent chunk of time this season due to lingering injuries.
Before tonight’s shoulder injury, Hutchison was having one of his best games of the season with 11 points and two blocks on 5/7 shooting. Missing Chandler for an extended period of time would hurt the Bulls, who are already without starting wing Otto Porter Jr. and young star Wendell Carter Jr., who are both expected to miss significant time.
The Bulls stated that Hutchison would be reevaluated tomorrow.
