Daniel Gafford Out 2-4 Weeks with Thumb Injury

Chicago Bulls rookie center Daniel Gafford exited tonight’s game with a right thumb injury and will miss an extended period of time.

Well, this sucks. Chicago Bulls rookie center Daniel Gafford will not return to tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards after suffering a right thumb injury in the first quarter. Gafford quickly called for a timeout and ran straight to the training room.

With Wendell Carter Jr. being out with an ankle injury, losing Gafford takes all of the Bulls’ interior defense away. Hopefully, Gafford can heal quickly and make his way back to the Bulls lineup sooner rather than later.

UPDATE: The unfortunate string of Bulls injury news continues, as Gafford’s timeline has just been made public.
