Blackhawks Place Dylan Strome on Injured Reserve, Recall Brandon Hagel

Dylan Strome suffered a right ankle injury on January 7th and has not returned to game action since. Brandon Hagel will fill the void.

The Blackhawks have finally given a clearer picture of Dylan Strome‘s status today by placing him on injured reserve.

Strome suffered a right ankle injury on January 7th against the Calgary Flames and has not returned to game action since.

In his place, the Blackhawks have recalled Brandon Hagel from the Rockford IceHogs. The 21-year-old forward has recorded 13 goals and eight assists over 38 games for the Hawks’ AHL affiliate so far this season. His 21 points are good for second among all IceHogs skaters. This roster move marks the beginning of Hagel’s first stint in the NHL.
