A recap of McGregor’s return to the UFC.

It only took forty seconds for Conor McGregor to cement his return to the UFC in a TKO victory over Donald Cerrone. The fight was actually stopped when Cerrone was on the ground beginning to withdraw his defense, but in reality, what caused this destruction was a few hits from the shoulder of Conor, as seen below.

Also, at 0:24 into the above clip, you can see McGregor land an insane kick to the head that sent Cowboy to the ground and nearly stopped the fight. After a few punches, it was all over.

So now what?

Within the Welterweight division, there are two very obvious fights to make. Jorge Masvidal has already described his desire to take on McGregor. In a pre-fight interview of the McGregor-Cerrone bout, Masvidal stated:

[When fighting McGregor] my hand would get raised rather quickly…..If the money was all the same, I’d fight Usman because I dislike him.

Could we potentially see a McGregor-Masvidal match with the winner getting a shot at the belt in a showdown with Kamaru Usman?

Will Masvidal automatically get the title shot he rightfully deserves?

I sincerely hope for the latter in this situation because Masvidal has proven throughout 2019, that he is the real deal.

Need I say more? Regardless of the match, we’re in for one hell of a welterweight treat in 2020.
