College Basketball Bets – 1/25/20
There are a ton of college basketball games today; get in on the betting action.
I had a 4-0 Thursday and a 2-1 Friday on the college hoops betting slate. There are a ton of games today, and I’m licking my chops just thinking of it. Let’s get to the picks.
West Virginia (-12.5) vs. Missouri
Missouri is a very streaky team. I still can’t believe they beat my Illini. I don’t see them going on the road against a rabid West Virginia defense and beating them. Oscar Tshiebwe and Derek Culver should be too much to handle for Jeremiah Tilmon in the post. The depth is there. I don’t see Xavier Pinson handling the pressure from Miles McBride. Give me the Mountaineers.
Pick: West Virginia -12.5
Louisville vs. Clemson – Total 126
My way of handicapping games for totals is pretty simple: look at the most recent games and see how many total points have been scored. 126 is a very low total. That’s usually what I look for first to see if I can do something with it. I wanted to see why. The market expects Louisville to crush Clemson. Fine. I don’t expect that to totally be the case, but I’m not confident enough to fade Louisville. That said, if Clemson keeps it within ten, this is going over. I’d expect it to be around 135.
Pick: Over 126
Stetson vs. Liberty (-12.5)
Liberty is a tournament team. They may even get an at-large bid. Stetson is obviously not. Based on the way Stetson has paired with inter-conference teams compared to Liberty in the Atlantic Sun, this should be a pretty easy win even with Liberty on the road. Caleb Homesley and company should be fine because they distribute the ball well.
Pick: Liberty -12.5
That should do it, people. As always, follow me on Twitter @cwsdjt. I’ll have a thread of picks going all day. I will be at SoxFest so I won’t have 9-10 plays like usual, but I’ll keep it updated!
