College Basketball Bets – 2/11/20
It’s a fresh night of college hoops in the middle of the week, so let’s get to some betting picks.
After a 3-2-1 Saturday and 1-1 days on both Sunday and Monday, we’re about breaking even. Whatever. The Illini killed me last Friday. It was so sad being in attendance. I think they knew I was there again, so they wanted to be bad. I digress. It’s a fresh night of college hoops in the middle of the week. Illinois hopes to overcome their flaws against MSU in a much-needed game tonight, but we will not be picking that. Here is the slate for tonight:
Dayton (-10) vs. Rhode Island
I am fading line movement here. It’s about time Dayton gets some bad luck, and I think it could come at the hands of Fatts Russell, one of the great athlete names of all time. He puts up a fat amount of points. If the Rams can contain National Player of the Year Candidate Obi Toppin, at least somewhat, they should be able to keep this closer.
Pick: Rhode Island +10
Dayton/Rhode Island – Total 146.5
Rhode Island doesn’t score a whole lot. Dayton is the complete opposite. However, I think in this circumstance, it’s about time with such a large spread that this game is a grind-it-out type of matchup. Keep in mind that Rhode Island is 26th in defensive efficiency. Toppin will be able to contain the Rhode Island posts. I think this number is too high.
Pick: Under 146.5
Syracuse/NC State – Total 148
I’ve already bet this. Syracuse is historically a defensive team. Since the beginning of January, NC State has only gone over this total twice. Syracuse has gone over this total three times. That’s the thought. Go with the under in this ACC clash.
Pick: Under 148
