College Basketball Bets – 2/18/20
Three college basketball bets for Tuesday night’s slate.
Thankfully, if you tailed my picks on Monday, it helped heal the wounds of a pretty tough last week. It’s time to turn the tides. Here’s the slate for tonight.
Oklahoma vs. Baylor (-3.5)
This line infers that Baylor is only about an 8 to 8.5 point favorite on a neutral court. Although that may be true, I think the line has a couple of points baked into it because Vegas knows it’ll move. Baylor is a top-five team via Kenpom.com. Oklahoma is 35th. I think the Bears win by five or more.
Pick: Baylor -3.5
West Virginia (-10.5) vs. Oklahoma State
The last time these two teams met, the Mountaineers won handily on the road against the Cowboys. Now, they return to Morgantown, where I believe Derek Culver and Oscar Thshiebwe will be a tall task for the Bears to handle. West Va will cover this line.
Pick: West Virginia -10.5
Penn State/Illinois – Total 139.5
Ayo Dosunmu is day-to-day after a scary injury to his knee at the end of the MSU game. The spread remains +6 for the Illini and will definitely drop if Ayo is healthy. Let’s avoid that. Penn State is second in the Big Ten, averaging 77.5 PPG. Illinois is fifth. I expect this to be a high-paced game and most likely higher scoring, especially if the Illini have their best player.
Pick: Over 139.5
As always, follow me on Twitter @cwsdjt for picks. I post a thread of all of my picks each day in addition to this article. Let’s continue Monday’s edges with some winners!
