Ahead of Thursday’s Spring Training game, White Sox slugger Edwin Encarnacion was scratched from the lineup due to back stiffness. Reports from Glendale indicate that the ailment is nothing serious.

With Encarnacion beginning to through his discomfort, relief pitcher Jace Fry is set to do the same tomorrow. The left-hander has also been dealing with a minor back issue, but the expectation for him to begin throwing again is a welcome sign.
