After it was announced that Lauri Markkanen is close to returning, more news broke on the Bulls’ injury front this morning.
Otto Porter Jr. is set to return after being out since the ninth game of the NBA season. Otto was diagnosed with a left-foot stress fracture that has kept him out pretty much all season long. The Chicago Bulls have never rebounded at the small forward position since losing Porter on November 6th of 2019. Jim Boylen did put a minutes cap on Porter for his return.
Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic also reported that Zach LaVine’s status is doubtful for tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at home. This would mark the first game Zach has missed this season, which has been his best year yet.
One player gets healthy and another one goes down. That has been the only consistency for the Chicago Bulls in the 2019-20 NBA season.
