The Bulls will welcome Lauri Markkanen back tonight after being out with a stress reaction to his right pelvis that kept him sidelined since January 22nd.
He also was battling an ankle injury which has since healed with the time off. Before Lauri went down with due to injuries, he was averaging 15 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and .5 blocks per game. His presence down low will be a welcome sight, as the Bulls’ defense has been getting hammered inside because of a lack of depth. With Zach LaVine still day-to-day, the additional scoring that Lauri brings to the table is another plus. Lauri will join other recently returning Bulls’ stars Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr., and Denzel Valentine for a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. Keep a close eye on how Jim Boylen decides to use Markkanen, Porter, and Carter as they are all on minutes restrictions.
