Indoor Football League Action Kicks-Off In Cedar Rapids Tonight

It’s that time of the year again! Indoor Football is officially back in action tonight as the hometown team the Quad City Steamwheelers make the quick his trip over to Cedar Rapids Iowa to take on the River Kings.

The Steamwheelers are led by 2019 IFL offensive player of the year QB E.J. Hilliard and Head Coach Corey Ross who spent time in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens. The Steamwheelers do have arguably the best receiving core in the IFL led by Keyvan Rudd and Quinton Pedroza. Coach Ross also brought in a handful of rookie Wide Receivers led by Former Wingate Standout J.T. Stokes. The Steamwheelers just missed the IFL playoffs by one game last season but look to start this season off with a Victory this evening in Cedar Rapids.

The River Kings had a very productive and busy off-season as far as signing new talent. This off-season class is headlined in the Receiver room as they brought in former Columbus Lion Bones Bagaunte and two former Tucson Sugar Skulls in Shaq Curenton and Donovan Rasberry. The River Kings look to rely on former Auburn RB Michael Dyer and are led by former Texas Revs HC Victor Mann. The biggest question for this River Kings team is will Derrick Bernard the answer at QB? He did put up decent numbers with the San Diego Strike Force last season but led the league in turnovers. Bernard then went to the Omaha Beef of the CIF and lit it up.

The Game will be broadcast live on Youtube at 7:05 CST, which if you have a Firestick or some sort of way to hook it up to your TV is optimal for viewing.

Tomorrow. the San Diego Strike Force take on the Bismarck Bucks at 2:05 CST and can also be found on live on YouTube.
