One of the few bright spots throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been seeing people in the sports community leading the charge in getting through some of the burdens this crisis will leave in its wake.

Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Cubs OF Jason Heyward is planning on donating $200,000 to local COVID-19 relief efforts. Kudos to him for using the resources he has to help out those in need in his adopted hometown. He joins a growing number of athletes around the country in taking care of those whose lives were upended, and it will take all of us to pull in unison to get to the finish line.

The boiling water that softens the potato is the same one that hardens the egg. We’re gonna get through this, together.
