According to the football agency SportsTrust Advisors on Twitter, former Bears safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix is reportedly heading to the Dallas Cowboys.

Clinton-Dix spent just one season in Chicago, where he recorded 78 tackles (62 solo), two fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and one defensive touchdown over 16 games.

This is a bit of a surprising move considering Clinton-Dix put out a cryptic tweet before the start of free agency indicating he would remain a Bear. To this point, the two top contracts that were given to safeties, Eric Murray and Malcolm Jenkins, average out to $7.3 million. Clinton-Dix’s deal is reportedly a one-year pact worth $4 million ($2.5 million guaranteed).

Earlier today, Over The Cap released the lists for the 2021 comp pick estimations.

Right now, the Bears are looking at four comp picks in 2021, which is the max a team is awarded. Clinton-Dix’s contract should help the formula for the Bears. It has been a while since the Bears went into a draft with a plethora of draft picks, and 2021 may be the year.
