Per R.J. Anderson of CBS Sports, the MLB is considering hosting games in Texas along with the previously proposed plans to utilize Spring Training sites in Florida and Arizona.

If a plan like this were to come to fruition, major league, minor league, and Spring Training facilities could all play host to MLB action. The location of domed stadiums in these areas (Globe Life Field, Tropicana Field, Chase Field, Minute Maid Park, and Marlins Park) would help negate possible weather complications.

However, since most MLB players are opposed to playing away from their families and potentially taking a pay cut with no fans in attendance, these plans remain up in the air. At the end of the day, most MLB players aren’t stars on multi-year multimillion-dollar contracts. They need to play to be paid. That said, it will take concessions from both the owners and players to have some semblance of a chance to play a 2020 season.
