Bulls Tap Adam Amin as New TV Play-By-Play Voice
Adam Amin replaces longtime play-by-play announcer Neil Funk to join Stacey King in the Bulls’ TV broadcast booth.
The Chicago Bulls have hired Adam Amin as their new TV play-by-play voice. Amin replaces legendary announcer Neil Funk, who had been announcing Bulls’ broadcasts since 1991 and TV broadcasts since 2008.
Amin, a Chicago native and alumnus of Addison Trail High School, has already filled in for Neil Funk a few times over the last few seasons. Positive feedback from his brief work with Stacey King certainly helped him land the full-time gig.
“We knew replacing Neil would not be an easy task.” said team President and COO Michael Reinsdorf, “But as we got to know Adam over the last two seasons and became even more familiar with his work, he rose to become our top choice.”
Amin recently joined Fox Sports from ESPN, where he had worked since 2011. He is set to contribute to the network’s NFL and MLB coverage, which he will continue to do in conjunction with his new position with the Bulls.
A substitute will take Amin’s place when there are conflicts with this Fox Sports work.
