Allen Robinson Wins Ed Block Courage Award
The Bears receiver has been recognized for his work with underprivileged youth in Chicago.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson has no shortage of on-field accomplishments, but Wednesday, the standout Penn State product was honored for his work off the field. For the second time in seven seasons, Robinson was presented with the Ed Block Courage Award, recognizing professionalism, strength, and dedication within the community. When Robinson isn’t making incredible plays on the field, he is making life changing impacts off of it. The Within Reach Foundation, founded by Robinson, has reached out to inner city kids to provide them with the supplies they need to succeed in school.
In a press call hosted by the Bears Wednesday, Robinson got the chance to react to winning an award that is voted on by his teammates. “To be acknowledged from my teammates for my community efforts and also for my efforts on the field, that’s definitely what you work for.”
Allen also took the opportunity to address the protests that have been taking place around the nation. “I think the biggest thing is trying to create solutions and trying to have solution-based conversations, and I think that’s addressing the problem firstly, and then I think also talking through how can we do our part.”

There are many that hope Allen Robinson never changes, and never leaves, because Chicago has fallen in love with him as a player, and even more so as a person.
