With the 88th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the Chicago Cubs have selected outfielder Jordan Nwogu out of the University of Michigan.

Nwogu was the #108 prospect according to MLB.com. He has been lauded as one of the more physical players in this draft. Nwogu is currently listed at 6’3″, 235 pounds and looks to be a strong, corner outfielder at 1060 West Addison in the future.

In his 2019 sophomore season, Nwogu finished the season with a .321 batting average and a team leading 58 runs scored. He was an Academic All Big-Ten Selection as well as All Big-Ten First Team selection.

Here is a little bit more about Nwogu:

Pray for Waveland and Sheffield folks, plenty of dingers incoming from Nwogu in the future.
