Cubs Sign Undrafted OF Bradlee Beesley

The Cubs have signed Baseball America top 500 draft prospect Bradlee Beesley.

With the MLB Draft only having five rounds this year, it leaves a large sum of draft eligible players still available, and the Chicago Cubs wasted no time getting to work post draft.

The Cubs signed outfielder Bradlee Beesley, outfielder, out of Cal Poly. He’s ranked No. 429 on Baseball America’s top 500 draft rankings.

The 5’10”, 180 pound right-handed hitter brings a contact-first approach and he’s a versatile athlete who can play all three outfield positions.

He played summer ball for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod League in 2019, where he batted .280 in 35 games.

Before his senior season was cut short due to COVID-19, he was a three-year starter for the Mustangs of Cal Poly, batting .286 turning his tenure.
