With the 11th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the White Sox selected Garrett Crochet, a left-handed pitcher from Tennessee. Today, the southpaw inked a deal with the club consisting of a $4,547,500 signing bonus.
This is full slot value for this signing, so it will be interesting how the team allocates money to selections from rounds 3-5. Crochet has enormous potential despite not having a plethora of experience as a starter. He draws comparisons to Chris Sale because of his frame and delivery, but he will have to work through past injury concerns to make an impact in Chicago.
