The Chicago White Sox will begin their 2020 season at Guaranteed Rate Field against the Minnesota Twins.
Sources told NBC Sports Chicago’s Adam Hoge on Monday that the pair of young and hungry teams will face each other to open the season. Uncertain what the starting lineups or pitching rotations will look like, it is set to be an exciting matchup for both team’s fanbases as the pair look to cement themselves as contenders in the American League Central.
In the last three seasons, the White Sox and Twins have met 38 times. Amidst a rebuild on the south side, Minnesota has a record of 25-13 during that time. With new faces and more developed talent, the White Sox look to turn the tide against their division rival, and it all starts on Opening Day.
