The White Sox announced today that they will be using the Schaumberg Boomers’ stadium for taxi squad workouts. The taxi squad consists of players that are not exactly on the active roster, but they can be quickly be called up if someone is inactive for the MLB club.
The team will utilize the stadium for practices and intrasquad games. The White Sox will make upgrades to the stadium to make it more suitable for Major League workouts. Such improvements include installing a workout area in the suites and food service areas for the players.
